BERMAN, Gail - With tremendous sadness, we lost our beloved family matriarch, Gail Berman, on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Toronto General Hospital.
She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and support of her sons, daughters-in-law and her devoted husband of nearly 56 years.
A one-of-a-kind compassionate and endlessly devoted wife, mother and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of family values and closeness that will be remembered and cherished forever and passed down to her grandchildren and future generations.
Predeceased by her dear parents, Ruth and David Axler, she leaves behind her loving husband Jules who never left her side and her three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Robyn, Jeff and Sue, Rob and Lesley and her grandchildren who were the most precious jewels in her life, Nathan, Olivia, Sydney and Jaymie.
Also missing our dear mother and wife are her devoted sister and brother-in-law Susan and Joseph Portnoy, their most supportive children Josh, Bram, Aron and Sari and her dear friend, Racquel de Guzman, who provided endless amounts of true friendship, care and support.
We will all miss her infectious laugh and spirited personality, the sense of confidence and love that she instilled in her children and her determination to always bring our family together.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Benjamin's Memorial Chapel.
