RUHIG, Waldemar - It is with great sadness that the family of Wally Ruhig announces his passing on December 14, 2018, at the age of 85.
He loved his family and will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years, Annelore, his daughter, Karen and husband Jim (Colin, Ray), grandchildren, Megan and Tom and daughter-in-law, Tracy.
Also his brother-in-law, Hartmut and wife Roya in Germany.
He is predeceased by his beloved son Chris and brother Otto and sisters, Louise and Frieda.
He was a kind and gentle man with a quiet sense of humour who was loved by all who knew him.
He was fond of sailing and loved skiing.
A memorial service will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate entrance) on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2 p.m., with visitation 1 hour prior and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to North York General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
