GOMES, Anthony 'Tony' - After lengthy issues with his heart illness d more recently battling the debilitating effects of Parkinson Disease, Tony passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at Scarborough Grace Hospital in Toronto from cardiac arrest.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Philu/Phil (née D’Souza).
He was a loving father to his children Christopher (Flavia) and Christine (Marc) and a doting “Gampy” to his three grandsons, Daniel, Simon and Jacob.
He was a dear brother to Eva (deceased), Francis (deceased), Alex, Mary (deceased), Olive and Delia (deceased) and brother-in-law to Dominic, Elise, Olu, Austen, Jane and Peter.
He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will beheld at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on April 1, 2019 from 2:00 PM - 04:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 08:00 PM. The service will take place at St. Aidan Roman Catholic Church, 3501 Finch Avenue East, Toronto on April 2nd at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, if wished, donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or Parkinson Canada.
