BOWERS, Thomas Lawton (P.Eng) - Passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 81 on Saturday, June 8th at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga.
Beloved husband of 56 years to Patricia Bowers (nee McKenna).
Devoted and proud father to Steve , Scott (Elaine) and Karen (Pre deceased). Cherished Papa to Colin and Lauren, he was so very proud of them and all their accomplishments.
Older brother of Rick (Grace – Predeceased) and nieces Jenny (Matt) and Kelley.
Tom graduated in 1962 from the University of Toronto in Electrical Engineering. Tom was an avid curler and a long time member at Dixie Curling Club. His love for fishing was enjoyed on many organised trips and annually at his cottage on Lake Chandos. Tom’s attention to detail showed in all his endeavours and hobbies and was truly a wood carving perfectionist.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home, Mississauga Chapel, 420 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, ON., on Monday, June 17th, from 5pm to 8pm. Memorial Service at the funeral home, on Tuesday, June 18th, at 11am.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Trillium Health Centre Foundation.
