Iannello LuigiaIANNELLO, Luigia 'Luisa'  -  (October 6, 1937 - August 20, 2019)  -  Luigia Mancuso was born on October 6, 1937 in Delia, Caltanisetta, Sicily, Italy.

In 1960 she immigrated to Toronto Canada after being married by proxy to her dear husband Calogero Iannello. Together they raised three beautiful children in Barrie: Maria, Anna and Shirley and ran successful businesses.

Luisa adored her grandchildren Samuel Sarah and Andrea Baiardo. She loved her family and friends, always with a smile and laughing especially when telling Sicilian jokes and barzaletti. She was a great cook, Gardner, seamstress and loved Italian/Sicilian music and playing tombola bingo with her friends in Woodbridge. She especially loved attending Sicilia Canta celebration and her son-law’s music. We will always remember her smile and the wonderful memories she shared with us.

Luisa was a devout Catholic and was welcomed into God’s arms on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at the age of 81.

Special thanks to Fr. Mark Gatto and Fr. Francesco Cucchi for taking the time to be with her.

She will be reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of over 50 years, Calogero. Cherished by her dear children, Maria (Joseph Baiardo), Anna and Shirley. Proud Nonna to Samuel, Sarah and Andrea.

Luigia 'Luisa' will always be remembered by her siblings Calogero and Lina, predeceased by her sister Anna, and brothers, Salvatore and Federico.

Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd.) on Tuesday August 27, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-9p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 28, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave., at Martin Grove Rd.). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (on Hwy 27, south of Hwy 7).

If so desired, donations in memory of Luigia 'Luisa' may be made to the St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation Hamilton.

Special thanks go out to Dr. Boyle, Dr. Moreno and all the nurses and staff on the 4th floor Mary Grace Wing and Complex Care Juravinski Tower.
