Gardiner JohnGARDINER, John - It is with sadness that the family of John Gardiner announces his passing on September 18, 2019, at the Brampton Civic Hospital. He was 83.

Born December 24th, 1935 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He apprenticed there as an electrician, receiving his license in 1958, the same year he married his 'wee Jeannie'. He immigrated to Canada in 1966 where he raised his family and worked for 30 years as an electrician/maintenance supervisor at Lipton’s.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean (nee McLean) (2010).

Loving father to Alan (Joanne Dent), Brian (Anna) and Gordon (Jenifer) Gardiner.

A wonderful “Gramps” to Amanda, Holly, Samantha, Michael (Kat), Megan and Connor.

Predeceased by his parents John and Thomasina (Ina) (nee Mckeen) Gardiner and his brothers Adam and Thomas.

John will be missed by his extended family back home in Ireland.

Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at the Brampton, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday September 30th, 2019. Any and all are welcome to join the family for a celebration of his life to follow on the same day any-time between 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 609, 1133 Queen Street, Brampton. Speeches and stories will be shared starting at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Alzheimer Society Peel would be appreciated.
