Steele OliveSTEELE, Olive - It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother on September 16, 2019 at the age of 87 years.

Olive will be lovingly remembered by her two children; Kevin Steele and Maureen (Anwar) Ghadban and their children Reanne (Jay) and their daughter Madison; Amanda (Rob); Sara (Ian); and Lila (Mike). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Brian Arthur Steele.

Olive treasured her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She found great joy in time spent with her children, grandchildren and her great grandchild.

She loved dancing and being with her friends. Most of all though, she loved and would do anything for her family and friends. She was loved by all who got to know her. As a single mom she worked hard to support her two children and provided them with whatever they needed. She made the best most scrumptious shepherd’s pie and an awesome lemon meringue pie. Olive loved collecting old coins and sipping tea at all hours of the day. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and she will be sadly missed by all her family and her countless friends.

A Service will be held at Scarborough Citadel, A Community Church of The Salvation Army, on Saturday September 28, 2019 at 11:30 am, 2021 Lawrence Ave. East, Scarborough, Ontario. Celebration of Life Reception: Following the Service, the family will receive relatives and friends at the Scarborough Citadel, Multipurpose Room, 2nd Floor, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The Scarborough Citadel Church and Multipurpose Room are located in the building at 2021 Lawrence Ave. East, which is on the Southwest corner of Warden Ave. and Lawrence Ave. Parking is available at the Scarborough Citadel P1 Level. All parking spaces on the P1 Level are designated for visitors parking.

Memorial Gifts: In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a memorial gift in Olive’s name, made directly to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
