Burgess SheilaBURGESS, Sheila Elizabeth - It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Burgess announces her passing after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease on Sunday November 17 2019 at the age of 77.

Sheila was born in Hamilton, Ontario on March 12 1942. She attended Tyndale College in Toronto. Sheila spent 25 years as a missionary with Africa Inland Mission Int. Canada. Sheila was a member of Calvary Church Toronto where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and caring for the children in the Nursery.

Sheila was pre-deceased by father John William (1968), mother Margaretnee Crawford (1969), and Nephew Bruce (2005)

Sheila will be lovingly remembered by her brother Ron Burgess (Edyth) Rose Bay NS, her niece Shelley(Grey), nephews Mike, Blair, and Kevin (Pat). Sheila will also be fondly remembered by her great nieces and nephews, her great-great nieces and nephews, many cousins, her extended church family and friends.

Sheila has been cremated and a family service will be held at a later date in Nova Scotia. We would ask that all who knew and loved Sheila take a few minuets to share a memory with a friend, sing a favorite hymn as Sheila love to sing, and pause to say a pray for her and her journey home to be with her Lord.

The family would like to thank the Nurses, Dr AAkintan, Pastor Shawn Van De Visch and all the staff of Nisbet Lodge for their loving care of Sheila. Their care and support was greatly appreciated.

Memorial Donations in Sheila’s name may be made to Nisbet Lodge 740 Pape Ave. Toronto. M4K 3S7.
