Boland TheresaBOLAND, Theresa (Poirier) - 90, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Errinrung Nursing and Retirement Home.

Born in MacDougall Settlement, NB on November 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Adelard Poirier and Madeleine Leger.

She was a teacher for many years with the Toronto Secondary School Board and attended the Church of the Good Sheppard in North York.

She was happily married to James H. (‘Harry’) Boland for 38 years until his death in 2003. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Marie Boland Gillis (Mike) of Thornbury, and two grandsons Devlin and Cole, her two sisters, Aline Boudreau (Paul) of Moncton, Bernadette Robichaud of Irishtown, and five brothers, Robert (Marie-Jeanne) of Moncton, Lionel (Fernande) of Notre-Dame, Lawrence of Cocagne, Gerard (Rose) of Shediac Bridge, Guy (Anna) of Shediac and four sisters in law Irene of Toronto, Lea of Moncton, Marceline and Noella both of Notre Dame, as well as several nephews and nieces.  

She was predeceased by her five brothers, Armande, Rodulph, Renee, Leandre and Ulysse and sister Rita.

A memorial gathering will take place at R.S.Kane Funeral Home, North York, Ontario, on Friday December 13, 2019 from 3pm-5pm and 6pm to 8pm. Funeral service and celebration of life plus internment to follow in Notre-Dame at a later date, timing to be announced.  

In lieu of Flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
