Szigeti SharonSZIGETI, Sharon (nee Deffett) - (November 17, 1953December 12, 2019)

It is with great sadness that the Szigeti family shares the passing of Sharon Szigeti (nee Deffett) on December 12, 2019 at Scarborough General Hospital following a short illness.

Beloved wife of Arpad for 37 years, and mother to Meighan, Erin, Nicholas, and Adam, Sharon leaves behind sister Mary, brother Frank, and her sister-in-law Lorraine and many close friends.

It is an understatement to say that Sharon was a loving mother; she gave the gift of love to everyone she met. She will be remembered forever in our hearts as a special, creative, strong, independent woman with an innate ability to connect with those around her.

Sharon spent her life in Toronto and Scarborough - she loved sharing stories and memories of growing up in several neighbourhoods in the East End of Toronto. From spending time in her family’s convenience store in Greenwood to spending her young adult years in the Beaches, Sharon was proud of her hometown. Sharon is a legend who will not be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation will be accepted

Celebration of Life will be held at Jerrett funeral home, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto on December 23rd from 1 - 5pm.
