DOUGLAS, Melvin - We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our brother, Mel, on January 14, 2020. 

He is survived by his sister Gloria (George), his nieces and nephews, Brenda, Doug (Dorothy), Keith (Michelle), and Krista (Mike), and his great nieces and nephews, Matthew, James, Brandon, Cassie, Liam, and Julia, and cherished friend Greg.

He was predeceased by his parents James and Mabel, his siblings Jim and Carole.

He was an avid sports fan, loved his hockey, football, and the Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays.

He was a retired employee of Canadian Tire after a number of years of dedicated service. 

Visitation will be held Friday January 24th at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, North York between 10 - 11 am. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Chapel at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mel’s honour to the Salvation Army or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
