SHEUNG, Yuk Ki - It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Yuk Ki (Mama) on January 16, 2020 at Markham, aged 91 years.
Predeceased by her husband Dik Ming Sheong.
Cherished mother of Kelvin and Salina.
She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter in law (Rosemary); Grandkids Paul, Wendy and Dr. Richard Lam; Great grandkids (Trevor, Brandon, Mason, Ayden, Evelyne, Theodore and Audrey); her brother (Philip Ng & wife Molin) and his family (daughter Dr Esther Ng & her husband Dr. Victor Ma & kids Daniel & Priscilla); (Son Dr. David Ng & wife May & kids Joshua); (Son James & wife Jennifer & kids Jeremiah & Jonathan); and by many extended families and close friends.
She was a primary school teacher at Swatow, China & later in Hong Kong before immigrating to Canada in 1980.
Yuk Ki was a great gardener, excellent cook & enjoyed fishing & occasionally spoiling the grandkids.
In memory of Yuk Ki and as an alternative to flowers, donations to the Mon Sheong Long Term Care Home, Scarborough would be appreciated by the family.
We couldn’t say enough good things about Mon Sheong & how everyone there were incredibly kind to her & attended to her every need.
Yuk KI (mama) will be missed, remembered and her life celebrated by all of us who loved her.
Visitation will be held at York Cemetery & Funeral Centre, Toronro on Monday, 20 Jan 2020 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM. The service will take place in the chapel at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow.
