Paterson CathyPATERSON, Cathy Sandra Anne (MacIsaac) - Cathy Sandra Anne (MacIsaac) Paterson, 64, of Toronto, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 25, 2020 while on holiday.

The third child to Hugh and Anne (MacNeil) MacIsaac, Sandra Anne, affectionately known as Cathy, was born on February 13, 1956 in Toronto, Ontario.

While attending Notre Dame high school, Cathy met Jim. They began dating and became inseparable. They publicly declared their love for each other when they were married in October 1974. Shortly thereafter, Cathy began working at Gulf Oil in the field of administration/management. She spent the next 46 years working in this industry.

After her career was firmly established, Cathy and Jim decided to expand their family. In April of 1982 they welcomed their first born Marc. Several years later, Cathy gave birth to their second son Neil. Once both boys were born, Cathy devoted her life to them. She was able to regain this sense of nurturing and adoration, when her grandchildren Avery, Brooke and Brynn were born.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jim Paterson; her wonderful sons Marc (Heather Imrie) and Neil (Shawna Knights); three grandchildren Avery, Brooke and Brynn; four siblings: Marie MacIsaac, John MacIsaac, Marion DeSousa (Manny), Alexander MacIsaac (Akilah Prout); and sister-in-law, Cathy Johnson (Albert).

She also leaves to mourn her nieces and nephews: Christie, Jeffrie, Beth, Madison, Michael, and Gabriel; great-niece Ella, as well as too many friends to mention.

Preceded in death by both her parents Hugh and Anne (MacNeil) MacIsaac and father and mother-in-law Lachlan and Lillian (McDonnel) Paterson.

Cathy will be remembered for spreading her love and wonderful sense of humour to everyone she met. We will all miss her nurturing and caring spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, Newmarket on March 8th from 1 - 4pm.
