Politis FanaPOLITIS, Fana (Argiropoulos) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fana (Argiropoulos) Politis, peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital, surrounded by her loving son and daughter-in-law on Thursday March 12, 2020.

She is survived by her loving son Constantine and daughter-in-law Lina, predeceased by her cherished husband Peter and will be missed by Constantine’s father, George Politis.

Fana was born in Andartiko a town in northwestern Macedonia, Greece. She is the youngest of the five siblings Billy, Spiro, George and Tommy.

Her spirit, kindness and love of life made everyone’s life abundant. She made friends everywhere she went. She loved to volunteer in many Greek groups helping with community fundraising events. She loved to share stories of her childhood and wanted to ensure her stories and memories were never forgotten.

Fana will be greatly missed by generations of family and lifelong friends, both here, United States and Greece.

The family will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Sunday, March 15th, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Dr. Toronto on Monday, March 16th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow.

Floral tributes and memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are welcome and appreciated but not necessary.
