Savella LeonardaSAVELLA, Leonarda - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Leonarda Savella this Good Friday, April 10, 2020 at 3pm. A very special grace to die at the same time as Jesus did.

This world lost a great one, as heaven called for another Angel. Leonarda, sadly passed away but she put up a valiant fight battling Alzheimer's for over 5 years.

At the gates, God will welcome her along with her husband ,Rocco. Together they will dance and laugh and both of them will guide us as we continue their legacy; with heavy hearts but with countless memories!

Leonarda ,the youngest of her family, completes the chain in heaven as she now joins her mother, Filomena and father, Pasquale in paradise - how they are welcoming her - we are sure with a feast! There, she will reunite with her 5 siblings, Rocchina (Fiorenzo), Carmelo(Columba), Agata (Giovanni), Anna (Giovanni) and Michelina (Antonio).

Her memories and legacy will be cherished by her loving son Pat ;sadly missed and fondly remembered by her grandchildren Monique , Patrick and Felicia and great grandmother to Deeanna and Luca.

While we know that she is at peace and her struggles are at an end, there is no longer pain and sadness. And even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will remain and we ask you to keep those memories alive by sharing them with us and with one another.  She will be remembered for her beautiful smile she gave everyone she met and her sparkling grey eyes and warm caring soul.  Her love for her family and relatives was her greatest joy.

There will be a private entombment and funeral due these unfortunate times but donations can be given to Alzheimer's.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last years.
