Giscombe Iscolene GISCOMBE, Iscolene Larosa (Green) - Another day has come where sunshine subsides and a slight shadow prevails in a place of peace. Where memories rise and tears unveil in deaths amazing release.

Tis time to bid a Queen good-bye, for a Queen is what our Mom shall be, but good-bye is only temporary, her spirit resides in thee.

On October 30, 1921 Icsolene Larosa (Green) Giscombe began her earthly journey in Sydney, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. She lived a life full of compassion, empathy and an abundance of love.

Mom left us on April 18, 2020 within the stillness of night where peace reigned infinitely.

In these trying times of darkness her transition began. Many waited for her on the other side, O yes they waved her in. Smiles and laughter Blessed her soul as total freedom was about to begin.

Predeceased by family who left us sometime ago, her husband John Giscombe, her Father and Mother, Fitzroy DeCosta Green & Ruth Antoleza Green, her sisters Winnifred Braithwaite and Marie Nichols, her brothers Roy Green and Ben Green and her Grandson Noel Germain.

Mom is survived by two daughters, eldest Melvina Germain and youngest Anita Giscombe, by two Grandchildren, Melody Germain Spilman and John Germain. Also survived by three Great Grandchildren, Dylan, Tahara and Isabella.

Though her soul soared in strength like a lioness, she would find you if you hurt the ones she loved. She touched others gentle like the wings of a butterfly soaring beautifully so high above. Her door was always opened to give a helping hand and her compassion never lacked to strangers from other lands.

Remarkable is a word I like to use for I stood in awe many a day. Delighted in her every move her elegance, her grace and her praise. Jealousy never found her, she had so much more to do. Her creativity such insurmountable gifts sewing, cooking, tailor, seamstress, a milliner and yes the list goes on.

Mom was a teacher, a great organizer, meticulous in every way, she entertained with great gatherings, her magnificent cuisine was a gift in taste and display. She made many a wedding dress; yes she did and her designs were a smashing delight.

I could go on and on sharing of our Mom, such is enough to share tonight. Goodnight Mom, may your spiritual life be everything you desired and Mom please know those you left behind, your legacy has given us much to think about and you my sweet will always be admired.

Graveside service arranged for April 29th through Jerrett funeral home, Scarborough.
