OUANOUNOU, LIsa - Lisa Ouanounou passed away peacefully from this world on May 15, 2020 in her 94th year.
Beloved wife of the late Hanania (Henry) Ouanounou z’l, mother of Vickie and Sol Shein, Samy Ouanounou, Max Ouanounou, Annie and Paul Samuel and Nicole and Moishe Posner.
Treasured grandmother and great-grandmother; cherished sister of Simone Tchiprout z’l, Fortune Ohayon z’l, Albert Bitton, Esther Perez, Therese Zandman, Joe Bitton, Michelle Dobkin, Annette Bitton and Jack Bitton.
Lisa was born in Casablanca Morocco and emigrated to Toronto with her family in August of 1965. She was amongst the last of the golden generation of tzadikim from the old country, continuing the traditions of modesty and chesed for which she was well-known.
Her home was forever open to family and guests to share in the warmth of her generosity and a delicious meal. Much loved by her family, her smile, her strength and her kindness will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held May 19th. Burial in Israel.
