Mittica SalvatoreMITTICA, Salvatore - Our hearts are full of sadness as the Mittica Family announces the peaceful passing of Salvatore Mittica on June 10, 2020, at the age of 88 years.

Salvatore is survived by his wife Maria.

Loving Father and Father-in-law of Carmela (Carmelo Palmeri), Rosa, Bruno (Dianne) and Pasquale (Pina).

Dear grandfather of Marco, Adrianna, Roberto, Bianca, Juliana and Anthony.

Salvatore was born to Italian immigrant parents on February 21, 1932 in a small town called Gerace, which is in the City of Reggio Calabria, Italy. Salvatore left his homeland on April 7 1959 via a ship called Julius Caesar, in search for a land of opportunity and immigrated to Canada, Toronto being his final destination.

In a few words we can describe Salvatore as a family man, loyal, hardworking, always providing for his family and a proud Canadian Citizen having the benefit of his Italian heritage in Canada. Salvatore worked as a custodian at the TCDSB.

Salvatore will always be alive in our hearts and memories of wine making, wine drinking, good food, good times, playing Italian cards, singing, coffee with cream filled Italian pastries and shots of 5 Star whiskey will never be forgotten.

The Mittica Family would like to extend a big thank you to all our family and friends for their ongoing support, love and care during this difficult time for us.

During these challenging times of Covid-19 and for the safety of all, we ask that all friends and relatives attend the Virtual Zoom

Funeral Service which will broadcast at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020. Please copy and paste the following below to view the funeral service Friday, June 12, 2020 - 10:00 a.m.
