BROMFIELD, Marjorie Ionie (Sloley) - Left this world peacefully at the age of 94 on June 11, 2020.
Predeceased in 1999 by her husband Stanley.
Marj will be deeply missed by daughters Andrea and Dale, grandchildren Jackie, Matthew, Ivo and Asia, great-grandchildren Isaac, Asa and Mia, as well as countless extended family and friends.
To meet Marj was to never forget her – those dancing green eyes, beautiful smile and delightful personality would light up a room. Her humorous stories of growing up in Jamaica, then life as a working mom and wife in Toronto, would entertain her listeners.
To know Marj was to love her. Many have been blessed by Marj’s positive spirit, kindness and generosity – listening to her singing a solo at her beloved Kingston Road United Church, or receiving a word of encouragement, wise counsel, a thoughtful gift, financial support, or shelter in her loving home.
As our family’s affectionate matriarch, Mom/Gramma/GG has left a void, but also a legacy of love and devotion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
It is with gratitude that we remember the loving care the staff of Fountain View gave to Marj during her last days. We are also grateful for the heartfelt words and faithful prayers of all who loved Marj; they have comforted us during this difficult time.
