DISTEFANO, Giuseppe Distefano - An exceptional man born May 29th, 1929, passed away on June 13, 2020 at the age of 91.
He was a devoted husband to Giovanna Distefano, a loving father to Salvatore and Emmanuela, father in-law to Rita and Giuseppe, and beloved grandfather to Joey, Andrea and Antonio, Maria-Elena, Julianna, Vittoria, and beloved great grandfather to Gabriel.
Giuseppe Distefano was an inspirational father. As a husband, father and grandfather, he was someone to follow, to admire, to learn from, to respect, to listen and talk to, to impress, to make proud, to make memories with, and to share everything life has to offer.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Giuseppe knows that he was loyal, genuine and kind-hearted.
Being related to Giuseppe was an honour, he showed compassion and unconditional love towards everyone, and really was the joy of the family. He taught his family how to work hard, stay strong, not to take anything for granted and remember to enjoy the little moments in life. Duty, decency, reliability, pride, dignity and respect are all qualities that Giuseppe held in high esteem and practiced every day of his life. He was a man that loved to smile and laugh, and cherished his family.
Giuseppe was loved a lot, and will be missed immensely. His memory will be carried in our hearts forever. If everyone carried some characteristic of Giuseppe Distefano, this world would be a better place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Canada, and Sick Kids Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
