PEILUCK, Bernice Dorothy - Bernice Dorothy Peiluck, 84, died of heart complications on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in Oakville, Ontario.
Bernice was born on June 22, 1936 on Bell Island, Newfoundland to John Whalen and Marion Bennett. As both parents died at an early age, she was raised by her uncle Llewelyn Bennett.
Being adventurous in nature, she departed Newfoundland in a Douglas DC-3 Airliner in her mid-twenties for Ontario. Quebec was a close second choice ultimately not selected due to the language barrier.
She worked initially for Singer as a sales associate then for Omega Laboratories Ltd. as a laboratory technician until retirement.
She was an active member of her south Etobicoke neighborhood. She enjoyed engaging in conversations with neighbors, flowers, housekeeping, fine foods, quiet evenings, discussing current events and taking care of her overly active pet cat Rosie.
She is survived by her loving son Michael and close family friends Dagmar and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her brother Clayton Whalen and her husband Robert Walter Peiluck.
