She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Jacob Yard for more than 56 years, and was the cherished mother of Michele Fraser (Terry) and Cori Endrody (Kevin Klein).

She will be always loved and forever missed by her grandchildren, David Fraser, Cameron Fraser, Taylor Endrody, and Jordan Endrody, and fondly remembered by Maya Klein.

Eleanor was predeceased by her brother Brian Appleton (Wendy), brother-in-law Pat Yard (Sandra), and sister-in-law Carol Graham (Jim), and is survived by her sister-in-law Arlene Bullas (Ray) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a community leader who believed in service to others, whether it was as the President of the figure skating club, Knightsbridge Seniors' Centre or supporting local charities. She was an inspiring woman who was deeply devoted to her family.

Cremation has taken place, with interment alongside her parents at Riverside Cemetery. A private family gathering to celebrate Eleanor’s life and to share memories will be scheduled later this year.

Donations to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Celiac Society or the Shriners Hospitals would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth Chapel, Toronto.
