Cucci Benito GiovanniCUCCI, Benito Giovanni - On the evening of August 15, 2020, Benito Giovanni Cucci, surrounded by his loved ones, lost his three-year battle to a disease that took him from his loving family.

Benito was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son.

He is survived by his wife Melina and children Paolo (Ninetta), Joe (Tonia), Rob, and Sabrina (Greg) and grandchildren Julia, Melina, Adriano, Vanessa, Madison, Alyssa, Michela, and Gian Anthony.

Benito loved his family fiercely and looked forward to spending wonderful times together for any occasion. Benito, or Giovanni as many knew him, had the energy and attitude to live life to the fullest and was a gentle soul who provided comfort and wisdom to those who knew him. He loved his Sunday morning TV soccer games, playing bocce in the summer with his friends, and spending the time with his grandchildren. He diligently worked on his garden every summer and always shared his bountiful harvest with everyone.

Married for 56 years, Benito and his wife Melina shared their love with their family and friends and cherished every moment they had together.

Arriving in Canada from Pisticci, Italy in the early 60s, Benito sowed the seeds that would pave the way to build a wonderful life with his wife and children. A carpenter by trade, he used his talents to build his future piece by piece and always lent a helping hand to those who needed it when he could. Facing many challenges along the way that ultimately led to achievements and success, he created a wonderful legacy through his children and grandchildren. He worked hard, made sacrifices, and raised his family to provide them with guidance and opportunities for a better future.

He will forever be missed but we will always cherish the wonderful moments and memories we shared with him. His energy and spirit will forever light the way for those he has left behind.

Arrangements with Ward funeral home, Woodbridge chapel.
