Farquharson IanFARQUHARSON, Ian - 7/July/1928 – 16/August/2020 -

Retired Toronto Transit Commission.

Ian passed away at his nursing home on August 16,2020 after suffering a severe stroke on Wednesday August 5, 2020.

Ian was predeceased by his wife Grace (nee. Cunningham), and his brothers Cecil, Ronald and George as well as his sister Sheila.

He is survived by his brother Colin.

Originally from Aberdeen in Scotland, Ian decided to make his home in Canada and set sail abroad the M.V. Georgic arriving in Halifax on 11/May/1950 at the tender age of 21.

Ian had a long career with the T.T.C. and was well respected amongst colleagues and friends with whom he had many laughs and adventures.

Known for his humor, love of practical jokes and hawaiian shirts, he will be missed as a father to Colleen and Robert (Elizabeth) and by his grandchildren, Connor, Thomas and Sarah.

Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on August 23rd from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and August 24th from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM followed by the service.  COVID-19 Restrictions will apply.  Please, if you intend coming contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
