ARGENTO, Francesco - A loving father and proud grandfather, passed away at 90 years of age on October 2, 2020. His final days were spent surrounded by the family that he cherished more than anything.
Francesco was born on February 16, 1930 in the village of Sartano in Calabria, Italy.
Having immigrated to Canada in 1954, Francesco and his late wife Maria worked tirelessly to raise their three children and provide them with a warm and loving home.
He loved working in his garden and making his wine, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren.Francesco may be gone but he leaves behind a family that loved him, a family that he often called “the best in Toronto”, including his daughter Lucia and her husband Augusto, his sons Aldo, Enzo and his wife Giovanna, and his six grandchildren Francesco, Cassandra, Dante, Claudia, Nicholas, and Andrea.
More importantly, he leaves behind countless memories of laughs, shared meals, and stories that his family will cherish forever.
Mass of Christian burial in St. Charles Borromeo Church 811 Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto on Wednesday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m. Maximum number of people at the Church is 100. A private Entombment is to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Francesco’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
