Pires CidaliaPIRES, Cidalia - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cidalia on October 1, 2020 after a lengthy battle with colon cancer.

Forever loved by her parents Gilda Da Costa and the late Manuel Da Costa.

Loving wife of Joaquim Pires.

Beloved mother of her three boys and their spouses Jason (Shannon) Pires, Michael (Antonella) Pires, Andrew (Melissa) Pires.

Adored grandmother of her most precious grandchildren Olivia, Abigail, Noah, Jack, Evelyn and baby Pires.

Forever remembered by her siblings Jose (Ana) Costa, Manuel (Maria Lusia) Da Costa, Manuela (Manuel) Pereira and Arnaldo (Belmira) Costa.

She will also be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends from both near and far.

Cidalia will be tremendously missed and forever remembered for her infectious laugh.

Thank you to everyone for your continued love and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, Bathurst Chapel, Toronto on October 05, 2020 from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Guests are welcome to the funeral home for visitation, while mindful of the Covid19 parameters stated below.

The Private Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 130 Bathurst Street, Toronto. Due to the restricted numbers allowed at the church and cemetery, the mass and burial will be private and limited only to family members.

Gatherings will be limited to up to 50 people at a time in a visitation suite. When coming for a visitation, guests are asked to pay their respects to the deceased, acknowledge the family from a safe distance and exit the suite. Guest seating has been arranged to maintain physical distancing and will remain in place for all services and visitation in the funeral home. Once guests exit the visitation suite, we kindly ask them to exit the funeral home to allow other guests the same opportunity.
