MEYER, Reese - Went to heaven the morning of October 3, 2020 at 7:53am.
Very peacefully, gently and surrounded by love.
He was awake with both eyes open which we have not seen in a couple of weeks. We were able to spend the early morning together and we will forever cherish that time.
His breathing has told us he was very nearly ready the last 24 hours.
2 deep breaths followed by a long 20-25 second pauses.
No surprise he chose a still, calm Saturday morning on October 3rd of course.
His number 3, I suspect will show up everywhere we go or look. It actually has for a very long time. Long before he ever got sick.
Knowing Reese, he would deliberately choose a Saturday morning in the fall with leaves falling and changing everywhere.
A morning that Jen, Avalon and I could be with him and for us to be together without distractions. He really would pick a day like today to go if he could. Not for him but for us.
