KOCOVSKI, Risto - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Risto Kocovski on October 8, 2020 peacefully at his home at the age of 80.
Beloved husband to Luba, father to Robert and Nancy (Jim) and grandfather to Abby, Alex, and Andrew.
Risto was born in Porodin, Macedonia on March 26, 1940 as the second youngest of 9 children.
He moved to Toronto in 1963, married Luba in 1967, and then eventually settled in Markham.
He had a very successful career in accounting until his retirement in 2007.
He spent his retirement joyfully looking after his grandchildren and had a keen interest in the stock market.
In 2016, Risto was diagnosed with cancer. He was very grateful for the exceptional care he received from Dr. McGilvray and his team at Toronto General Hospital allowing him to continue to live a full life for another four years.
Due to COVID-19, the visitation and funeral will both be a small family gathering by invitation only. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dimitrija Macedonian Church, 201 Main Street N. Markham, on Saturday, October 10 at 12:30pm. Interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
