LEVER, James 'Jim' Richard - On the morning of Friday October 9, 2020 James Lever peacefully passed away at the age of 88.
After several months in the loving care of his wife, Iris, James spent his last weeks in the care of the great staff at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.
Jim was born in Blackpool England on August 15th, 1932. At the age of 17, Jim earned an apprenticeship in plumbing, followed by a specialization in lead burning.
In 1956, his trade skills brought him to Canada at the age of 23. His lifelong love, Iris joined him in the spring of 1957.
They returned to England to be married in 1958. Jim’s specialized trade skills allowed him to work globally. He fondly recalled swimming in the Great Barrier Reef!
Jim retired at the young age of 77!
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Iris Gertrude Lever; his children, Iris Emery, Christina Krpan, and John Lever; grandchildren Jimmy and Richard Emery, Julia Krpan, Paige and Alexis Lever.
Upon his death, Jim requested cremation. Due to Covid19 circumstances, the family will honour his life and memories at a later date.
