Stevenson BruceSTEVENSON, Bruce Gordon - It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bruce Gordon Stevenson on November 18, 2020 at the age of 57 years.

Bruce was the cherished husband and best friend of Deborah (Debbie) for 37 years. Loving son of Marion and Gordon. Bruce was the devoted father of Melinda and her partner Andrew Welch and dear brother of Alex and his wife Kim, and Lisa. He was the much loved son-in-law of David Sullivan and a beloved uncle and godfather.

He was preceded in death by Barbara Sullivan (mother-in-law), Darlene and Richard Irwin (sister-in-law and brother-in-law) and Cutie (much-loved dog).

Bruce was a dedicated and popular employee at Woodbine Entertainment for over 40 years.

He had many interests and passions, and was always available to lend a helping hand. He was the videographer for the Western Mustangs softball team, and he coached softball, basketball and soccer for over 10 years; most notably the Mississauga North Tigers softball team. Most of all Bruce was a true Boston sports team fan, cheering on the Boston Bruins, the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Celtics, although he also begrudgingly supported the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bruce will very much be missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel. In light of the current global pandemic with the present restrictions placed on group gatherings by the government, attendance at the funeral home has been restricted to a maximum capacity of 10 people. As a result, the visitation and funeral service will be by invitation only. A larger Celebration of Life will be held next year when it is possible to do so.

For the health and well-being of everyone, we respectfully request that attendees at the funeral home comply with current Brampton by-laws by observing social and physical distancing and wearing masks.

For those unable to attend the funeral home, the Funeral Service for Bruce will be live streamed. The live stream will commence at 12:00 pm on Wednesday November 25th. Please copy the link below into your address bar. When prompted, please provide the below password to initiate the live stream.
