GALATI, Antonio - Peacefully passed away in the early morning of November 24, 2020 at William Osler Hospital – Etobicoke, after a short battle with cancer.
Antonio was the devoted husband of the late Marta (December 3, 2011).
Loving and gracious father of Giuseppe 'Joe’ and Celia (Lino Genua).
Adoring and doting grandfather of Christina (Gregory), Anthony, and Cassandra.
Dearly missed by his sisters, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Antonio was a great man who was loved by many friends. We will definitely miss his great company, his operatic singing, and sense of humour.
As the City of Toronto has moved into the more restricted ‘lockdown’ category during this pandemic, it is with very heavy hearts that our family has made the difficult decision to hold a private funeral with our immediate family, in honor of our dear father and grandfather, Antonio Galati.
A private funeral service will be held on November 27, 2020 and then Antonio will be laid to rest beside his spouse.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Antonio made be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
