Garfinkle FloGARFINKLE, Florence (David) - May 25, 1924 - November 25, 2020 - On Wednesday, November 25, 2020, in her ninety- seventh year.

Most cherished wife of the late Moe Garfinkle.

Loving mother and mother-in-law of Harold and Pamela, Leon and Eileen. Proud Bubbie of Michael, and Robert Garfinkle; Jarred Garfinkle and Jaclyn Marcovitz, Richard Garfinkle and Rebecca Cohen, and Jason Garfinkle; and overjoyed great-grandmother of Theodore (Teddy), Wendy, Charlotte, and Ezra.

Daughter of the late Tillie Mirsky and the late Simon David.

Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jean David and the late Bernard, Anne (Hannah) and the late Issie Rubin; and sister-in-law of Issie and the late Miriam Boxer Garfinkle and the late Louise Larame Garfinkle, Maureen and Harry Garfinkle, Edith and the late Shimon (Sammy) Garfinkle, Ethel and Jack Garfinkle, the late Ethel and the late Jack Solomon, the late Lottie and the late Moe Shatenstein and the late David Alper. Special in law and best friend of Rose Melnick.

Florence was born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia. In 1952, she married her "rock" and the love of her life, the late Moe.

Her candid guidance, resilience, good humour and larger than life laugh enriched the lives of everyone she knew. She will always remain a blessing and inspiration to us all.

A special thank you to Dr. Michael Pollak for his many years of compassionate encouragement, the wonderful staff at The Waldorf, Mina Misahari who accompanied Florence this past year and to the caring doctors, nurses and staff of C-7th at the Jewish General Hospital who treated Florence with kindness and dignity over the past five weeks.

Due to the pandemic, a private graveside service will be held.

Shivas being held in Montreal and Toronto will be private.
