BENCARDINO, Maria - God called Maria peacefully on December 1, 2020 at the age of 99.
Maria at a young age was a risk taker and entrepreneur. With her husband across seas, she managed to raise four children, manage a small business, and build a home. With the little resources she had she was able to accomplish more than imaginable.
Maria was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was full of life and loved to travel with her husband. She will always be remembered as strong willed, determined, and fearless. Even at the age of 99 she always spoke her mind. Her warm smile, embrace, and kindness will never be forgotten.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, Giovanni. Cherished by her dear children, Liberata (Michele), Ralph (Nancy), Rose (Joe) and Peter (Marie).
Proud Nonna to Mike (Grace), Sabina (Tony), John, John, Antonella (Marcus), Anna, Maria (Oriano), Michael (Christina), John (Nikki) and Sam. Adoring great grandmother to. Michael, Megan, Alessandra, Andrea, Luca, Brianna, Carley, Daniela, Joseph, Michael, Francesca, Cristian, Simona, Joseph, Peter, and Sofia. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends.
Scheduled Visitation will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Thursday December 3rd from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Please visit the funeral home's website to RSVP to the visitation hours listed under Maria’s obituary.
The Funeral Mass will be by RSVP only and celebrated on Friday December 4th at 12:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave.). Private Family Entombment to follow.
