Peckett CarolePECKETT, Carole Anne (nee Christie) - Carol Anne Peckett (née Christie) passed away peacefully on December 10, 2020 at the age of 72 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, at her home in Port Credit with her family by her side.

Carol, a generous and loving mother, is survived by children Ashley (husband Matt) and Chris, and “granddog” Tux. She is also survived by brothers Peter (wife Marsha) and Ken (wife Maggie).

Carol graduated from the University of Guelph with a BHSc in 1971 and University of Toronto with a BEd in 1974. She impacted many lives working as a secondary school teacher in the Peel District School Board teaching fashion and food and nutrition before her retirement.

Carol was kind, optimistic and energetic. She enjoyed learning and experiencing new things. She loved to travel, take courses and talk to people about their experiences. When she wasn’t adventuring, she loved to spend time in her garden, with her family, and with her friends who were like family.

She is missed dearly by many as she departs on the next leg of her adventure.

Arrangements entrusted with Skinner and Middlebrook funeral home, Mississauga. Due to restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic, plans for a Celebration of Life will be made at a later date.

The family wishes to acknowledge all the support received from health care workers in the hospitals and the community. In lieu of flowers, please make any memorial donations to one of the following organizations that were so impactful in the last two years: Acclaim Health, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Odette Cancer Centre, or Trillium Health Partners Cancer Care.
