PODSADECKI, Aldona (nee BALTRAS)   - April 23, 1941 – December 25, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Aldona Podsadecki announce her passing on December 25, 2020 peacefully at home with her family by her side.

She leaves behind her husband Stanley of 58 years, her daughter Lynn Leitch (Steve), sons Michael and Steven and was the cherished grandmother of Landon, Makayla and Stevie.

Aldona will be lovingly remembered by her brother John Vitkunas and her sisters Vida Gallop (Steve) and Danute Bonner (Grant). She will be missed by her in-laws Ted and Sharon Podsadecki, Carol Podsadecki, Helen (Cookie) Lee, Diane (deceased) and her many nephews and nieces.

Daughter of the late John Baltras and Jennie Baltras-Vitkunas, Aldona was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, in 1941 and moved to Toronto in 1949.

Our family gratefully thanks the palliative care community team of The Dorothy Ley Hospice, Dr. Justin Chopra, Nurse Iryna, Care Partners and the Peel LHIN for their kind attention and tender professional care for Aldona and their support for our family.

Due to the current restrictions on gathering, we had a small private family service.

A celebration of life will be held when it is safe for us to gather again.

Those who wish to make a donation in Aldona's memory are asked to consider The Dorothy Ley Hospice or The Lithuanian Church of the Resurrection - 1 Resurrection Rd., Etobicoke, ON M9A 5G1.
