GORRIE, Doris (nee Reid) - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the Gorrie family announces the peaceful passing of Doris Gorrie (née Reid) in Brampton Civic Hospital on Friday, January 22, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Alexander Gorrie.
Loving mother of Kimberly, Alan and Kevan.
Cherished nanny of Sarah, Matthew, Alexandra, James, Taylor, Paxton, Sydney and Emma.
Although her loss will be deeply felt, Doris will be remembered for her wonderful smile, loving heart and strong spirit. She loved to spend time with family, and hosted many wonderful memories at home and at the cottage with her loving husband Alec. She had a wonderful sense of humour, and the laughter of her grandchildren always filled her with great joy. She also loved to reminisce over fond memories from her childhood in Glasgow.
Doris will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Arrangements entrusted with Andrews funeral home, Brampton. In light of the current global pandemic with the present restrictions placed on group gatherings by the government, attendance at the funeral home and cemetery has been restricted to a maximum capacity of 10 people. As a result, the funeral services will be private and in compliance with government restrictions.
