Sneyd MargaretSNEYD, Margaret Beatrice (nee Spackman) - (September 24, 1927 – February 10, 2021) -

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Margaret Beatrice Sneyd (nee Spackman) on February 10th, 2021 at the age of 93.

Predecessed by her parents Bea and Frank Spackman of Guelph, Ontario and by her sisters Jean Goble, Helen Johnston and Miriam Mitchel.

Beloved wife of John Sneyd and loving mother of Barbara (John) Bruno, Janet (Ian) Brown and Marny (Duff) Sorli, devoted grandmother of Sean (Carrie), Jeff, Evan (Andrea) Sarah (Peter), Nathan and Lauren and proud great grandmother of Liv.

Survived by her brother-in-law Doug Sneyd, and sisters-in-law Linda Kidney, Susie Johnston and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret met her highschool sweet heart when she was 16. They married and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last year. Margaret and John looked forward to their trips to Sarasota, Florida where they enjoyed spending time with their many friends.

Margaret was a renowned quilter. She belonged to the Piecefull Scrappers quilting club, winning many awards.

Margaret’s greatest passion was her family. She hosted countless family celebrations. She will be deeply missed by her adoring family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Funeral Service will be private by invitation only. Arrangements are entrusted with Paul O'Connor funeral home. The Funeral will be broadcasted via live link from the funeral home website.
