Scotland EdSCOTLAND, Edward Horatio - Passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Married for almost 58 years (March 23rd), Edward met the love of his life, Clytie, when he emigrated from Guyana to Britain, and followed her to Toronto, Canada.

Edward is survived by his wife Clytie, his children Paul, Jason, Heather, and his grand-children Dahnia (Jason) and Gabrielle (Heather).

He is also survived by his siblings: Barton, Ethyn (Patsy), Yvonne (Shirley), Lennox (Newborne) and their children and grandchildren.

After studying chemistry at a Polytechnical College, Edward found employment in laboratory sciences with Penick Canada and Organon Canada. He and others worked to pioneer improved formulations for medications, in particular for those suffering with Cystic Fibrosis.

Ever the fervent social activist, he became a Union Steward and President of his Union for employees. He held this position until the company ceased operations. Edward partnered with former employees to continue with his passion for improved health by continuing with the manufacturing and production of medicines under the company name Pancap Inc.

Due to Lui Boddy Dementia, he took retirement.

Among Edward’s passion were his family, faith and devotion to God which he instilled in each of his children. He had a love for his home country and could never read enough about Guyana and politics. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, and landscaping around his home.

The interment will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.
