MaAleer MaryMCALEER, Madeline Mary - It is with profound sadness that the family of Madeline Mary McAleer (nee Jones) announces her peaceful passing in her 89th year on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Devoted wife of Frank for 63 years, loving mother of Catherine McAleer and Anita Niklas (Gary), devoted Grandma to Michael (Jamey), Christopher, Alexander, Matthew, Venessa (Jon) and Catherine, dedicated GiGi (great-grandmother) to Cole, Isabella, Taylor, Marina and Harrison.

Everyone knew her as a graceful, beautiful and stylish lady full of generosity.

She was always proud of her many years she worked at Royal Bank as an Executive Assistant after completing her secretarial studies at Loretto College School.

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to all the Personal Support Workers who visited her faithfully at her home as well as the wonderful team members at Erin Meadows Long Term Care who assisted her with love, kindness and exceptional care while she lived there with Frank. They treated her with the utmost of respect each and every day, tending to all her needs as if she were their own family member.

She was so grateful for the love and support of her daughters who were always by her side throughout her entire, wonderful life.

Her devout faith gave her strength, solace and comfort. On the wings of an angel Madeline now joins her loving parents Catherine (nee Riley) and Walter Jones and her brother Fred in eternal paradise with our Merciful Lord and Blessed Mother. Godspeed & God Bless you having completed your long & faith-filled journey to your final resting place. You will be forever in our hearts and memories.

As a result of the current pandemic we are not able to fully celebrate Madeline’s life. Visitation is restricted to immediate family members (by invitation only) as is the funeral mass which will be held at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at noon.
