HERBERT, Garvan - Passed away peacefully on February 13, 2021 at the North York General Hospital.
Garvan was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on October 21, 1929. He moved to Toronto in 1954 to work for CN Rail.
He worked there for 36 years.
He retired in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Ann of 65 years; sons Craig (Nicole), Dean (Heather), Murray (Kathy), Garvan, Gerald; daughter Gail (Nova); 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and his sister Millie.
He was predeceased by his mother and father and brothers Joseph and Renald.
The family would like to thank all the staff in the emergency department and the nurses on 8 west at North York General Hospital, as well as everyone who has reached out to them, wrote cards, sent flowers, and offered their condolences.
Due to the pandemic, a private funeral service for the immediate family will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 12pm.
