SAUNDERS, Frances Mary - On Sunday, February 14th, 2021, we parted with our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Frances Saunders. She passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 102.
Frances was born on December 30, 1918, in Toronto. She met the love of her life, Wilfred Saunders, and was married on April 13, 1939.
Together they were happily married for 54 years and raised a family of 5 children: Douglas, Eleanor, Margaret, Linda, and Wilfred.
Frances cherished her 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She led an active life of caring for others; raising her children and then later, volunteering at The Second Mile Club for over 10 years. She enjoyed to read, was always in touch with what was happening in the world around her, spoke with her grandkids daily and enjoyed having a flower garden to look after.
Grandma kept memories of her life and family very close to her heart and often shared stories of loved ones. She was a strong, determined and fiercely independent person. We love her so very much and will miss her immensely.
She has been reunited with all the loved ones who have departed before her; her husband Wilfred, son Douglas, and daughters Margaret, Eleanor and Linda.
The family will be having an intimate service in her memory. Arrangements entrusted with Ogden funeral home.
