Winlo DaveWINLO, Charles David Gordon - It is with heavy hearts that we share Dave’s recent death on February 12, 2021. He died peacefully, surrounded by family.

Dave was husband of Joyce (deceased), father of Katherine and Scott (deceased); grandfather of Simon.

He was brother to Michael (Andrea), Susan (Merle) and Heather (John).

For the last 12 years, he has shared his life, in happiness, with his partner Ferne and enjoyed the love of her grandchildren who fondly called him Grandpa Dave.

During his rich life he shared his skills and knowledge with his many nieces and nephews.

In his 85 years, he pursued several passions. Sailing, both competitively and recreationally; skiing at Craigleith and summers on his beloved Georgian Bay island. Woodworking was a life-long passion from building his cottage and ski chalet to creating the “fastest” rowboat in the annual cottage regatta. Through fundraising he purchased Pico sailboats for the cottage recreation program.

We will always remember him with a pipe in his mouth as he went about his day.

In Dave’s memory memorial donations may be made to Deer Park United Church.
