WHITTINGTON, Peter Ross - (October 15, 1979 - March 8, 2021) -
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the death of Peter Whittington at the age of 41, after a brave 2 ½ year journey with cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Jelena (nee Hinic), devoted father of Tessa and Ryan, much loved son of Ross and Eve, dear brother of Jane (Dave Johnson), and dear son-in-law of Zorka Hinic and Stevan Hinic.
Born in Peterborough, Peter attended PCVS, where he was head boy in his final year, and Laurier University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. He was employed at Loblaws head office in Brampton.
Peter enjoyed cycling, tennis and golf, but his family always came first. He was a wonderful Dad – devoted, imaginative and fun-loving. His integrity, kindness, sense of humour and gentle spirit will never leave us. We were fortunate to have him in our lives. We will miss him.
A service for immediate family has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date when conditions allow. Arrangements entrusted with Ridley funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, Toronto, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
