Zimmerman Theresa TerryZIMMERMAN, Theresa 'Terry' Marie - (February 28, 1960 - April 8, 2021) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Terry (Theresa), after a long and courageous battle with leukemia.

Loving daughter of Lloyd (Donna), devoted sister to Tracy Bilecki (Bill), John (Alice), and Brett (Darlene).

Predeceased by her mother Betty, and her elder sister Kandy. Terry will be dearly missed by her niece, Ashley, and her nephews, Justin (Brenda), Jesse, their mother Janet, Luke, Matthew, and Alexander, as well as her extended families from London and Petrolia.

Known professionally as Theresa, she served a distinguished career as a Registered Nurse at Scarborough General Hospital and Scarborough Grace Hospital.

As well, Terry was a devoted fur mom to her many cats, and provided care and rehoming to many strays that crossed her path.

She will be remembered by her many friends and colleagues for her wonderful spirit, strength, her infectious laugh, clever wit and humour, and her entertaining storytelling. Terry embraced life through her love of travel, music, and animals, but especially through her relationships with the many friends and relatives whom she cherished deeply.

The Zimmerman family are extremely grateful to those who were so supportive throughout Terry's illness, particularly her best friends, Kim Ferrier and Davina Jones, and her neighbour, Christine Arezzi, who all went above the call of duty.

We'd also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible nursing staff on floors 14A and 15A at Princess Margaret Hospital for their devoted care during Terry's illness. Special mention must go to Dr. Anna, Sabrina and Kelly for their care, support, and compassion in accommodating Terry's wishes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Scarborough chapel.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Princess Margaret Hospital or the Toronto Humane Society in Terry's honour.
