Pasic ZoraPASIC, Zora "Choupie"   -  It is with a deep sense of gratitude and hearts full of love that we share the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Zora Jacqueline Pasic.

She peacefully left her body, just shy of 101 years, on April 6, 2021, with her loving daughter by her side, listening to "Je Ne Regrette Rien", by one of her favourite French singers, Edith Piaf.

Zora was predeceased by her adoring Nicky, her husband of 69 years, her cherished son Michael and her dear son-in-law Bill. Her legacy lives on through her daughter Catherine, her daughter-in-law Sandi, her grandchildren Lisa (Phil), David (one-eyed Jack), Nikolas (Ryan), Katie (Jocelyn) and her great-grandchildren Harry, Archie, Teddy and Aurora. Known to everyone as Choupie, she loved all the beautiful things that life offers us, especially the time she spent with family and friends.

Born in Paris in 1920, Choupie's early life was one of adversity but also of joy. She adored her father, her Donde, with whom she lived with, in Belgrade. She met her dearest Nicky at age 16 and together they escaped former Yugoslavia after a secret wedding in the mountains before moving to London, England.

Despite some challenging events, she never gave up, and made the most of every day.

After immigrating to Canada, she enjoyed a career spanning over 40 years, as a jewelery buyer for Sayvettes and Simpsons and manager of the General Store in Hazelton Lanes.

A heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Belmont House for their continuous care during the past 9 years, and to her caregivers Noemi, Claire and Vione, all of whom took such loving care of Zora over the years.

We are so very grateful. A celebration of life will be hosted at a later date.

REPOSE EN PAIX MON PETIT CHOU CHOU.
