Todkill KarenTODKILL, Karen Joyce  -  Karen passed away suddenly and far too soon, at 67 years old, on April 6, 2021, from a heart attack at her Toronto home.

She will be remembered by all those who loved her for her depth, intelligence, and her unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and the causes she believed in.

She was a passionate supporter of the NDP, and the importance of unions to protect the rights and safety of workers.

Karen truly "walked the walk" with her beliefs, whether it was her willingness to join her comrades on the picket line, or her refusal to shop at anti-union businesses like Eaton's (it looks like she won that battle!).

A proud Canadian, she loved all our country had to offer including Gordon Lightfoot, Jane Urqhuart, Vinyl Cafe, and the CBC to name a few.

Karen will be missed by her heartbroken sister Michelle Lico and brother-in-law Michael, her loving niece Patricia Wiktorek and nephew-in-law Michael, as well as the many Todkill cousins and family members who meant so much to her. She also cared deeply for her close friends, including ones she made from the many NDP election campaigns she worked on and her lifelong high school "mad gals".

To honour her memory, we ask that you consider donating in Karen's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NDP; two causes close to her heart.
