GRIMALDI, Grace - Peacefully after a lengthy illness, we announce the passing of our mom, Grace Grimaldi (nee Teresi), on May 5, 2021 at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Joseph Peter Grimaldi (January 2021), loving mother of Joanne (Brad), Rosemarie, Sal (Laura), AnnMarie (Dave) and Nonna to Jennifer, Melanie, Danielle, Christina, Joseph, David, Brittney and Michael.
Grace was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
She worked tirelessly to keep our dad and Rosemarie healthy.
She loved spending winters in Florida and summers at the cottage where the family could come together.
Mom was recognized for her many contributions and volunteer efforts for Community Living Toronto as well as at St. Clement church.
She will be sadly missed but will be reunited with the love of her life, Joe.
We were blessed to have her in our lives for so many years.
A special thanks to Marissa, who took care of mom every single day for more than six years.
Her tireless devotion to our mom and dad will never be forgotten by our family.
We would also like to acknowledge the nurses and PSWs at Extendicare Mississauga on John Watt Blvd. for their care of our mother.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family funeral mass will be held at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Grace can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
