Montemurro GraziellaMONTEMURRO, Graziella (Panettieri) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother on May 12, 2021. Graziella passed away peacefully at the age of 87 in her home with adoring family by her side.

Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Raffaele Montemurro, loving sister to six siblings: the late Angelina Giannace (Antonio), the late Rosalia Pannetta (Cosmo), Joe Panettieri (Ninetta), the late Nicoletta Miro (Antonio), the late John Panettieri (Carmela), and Ninetta Agneta (Franco)

Loving Mamma to Dominic (Susan), the late Enzo, Rosa (Mark), Ralph (Michelle) and Marc (Amy).

Proud and adoring Nonna to Matthew (Brittany), Devon, Jack, Grace, Henry, Luke, Joy, Elle and Tommy, and Bisnonna to Beau. Graziella will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her entire family, including her brothers and sisters-in-law Giuseppina (John) Giannone and the late Maria (Rudy) Valentini, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Graziella was born on April 29th, 1934 in Pisticci, Italy and immigrated to Canada with her brother Joe in 1954.

She was a talented seamstress and soon found work in Toronto’s garment district. She married Ralph on December 28, 1957 and devoted herself to family life and motherhood; doting on her children would become her true joy.

Graziella adored her family deeply and selflessly devoted her life to them. Her contagious laughter, love of Italian music, warm hospitality, strong faith, and constant jovial spirit - even in times of continuous sorrow in mourning the loss of her son, will be greatly missed by all.

Due to covid-19 restrictions, the visitation and Mass will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Enzo Montemurro Scholarship Fund at St. Michael’s College School using the following link: https://www.smcsgive.com .
