Bagchi SudarsanBAGCHI, Sudarsan   -  On Monday, April 19, 2021, Sudarsan "Sam" Bagchi, husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 81.

After waging a 5-year battle with cancer, he succumbed to his illness at home, surrounded with love from his family. Sudarsan was born on September 16, 1940 in Kolkata, India.

After graduating from the University of Calcutta, he moved to London, England in 1965 to study law at London's famous Lincoln's Inn, where he married his wife, Chandrima Bagchi on May 16, 1967.

Sudarsan and Chandrima moved to Montreal, Canada in 1969 followed by a move to Toronto, where they raised two sons, Neil and Shaun.

In Canada, Sudarsan spent his career in various facets of the software development industry and was involved in modernizing the Canadian insurance industry.

Sudarsan was a passionate traveler, connoisseur of food and fine wines, and an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. But what he loved most was having a nice time with his friends and family.

He was always the life of the party and made lasting impressions on those he touched with his sense of humor and generosity. His wit and boldness will be shared and smiled upon in reflection amongst his lifelong friends.

Sudarsan is survived by his two children, Neil and Shaun, his daughters-in-law, Casey and Giselle, and his four grandchildren, Adrian, Arden, Kate and Samuel.

Sudarsan is now at peace with his beloved wife. Akin to his favourite singer, Frank Sinatra, he can proudly say "I did it my way.".
