Trigiani FredTRIGIANI, Fred (Fedele) - (May 22, 1935 - May 21, 2021) - Passed peacefully at home with his family by his side after a six-year battle with a rare blood disorder.

He was a beloved and devoted husband of 61 years to his wife Mary (Marcantonio) and proud father of Joe (Tina) and Phil (Grace).

Exceptional Grandpa for Michael (Haidi), Christina (Moussa), Freddy, Rocco (Briana). Newly minted great grandfather of Luciano.

Fred was brother to the late Donato and Teresa and survived by his brothers Antonio and Filippo and sisters Filomena and Costanza. Cherished and loved by so many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy on May 22, 1935. He came to Canada at 18 and started working. Being the middle child of 7, he knew he needed to make things happen. His passion was farming fruits and vegetables and he was able to work his full time job at Canada Packers from 4AM so he could have lunch and get to his farm. This was his sanctuary and the meeting place for many family get togethers and working weekends with his kids, friends and anyone else who wanted to pick apples or tomatoes.

Fred always treated everyone with respect. He had no enemies and even those he disagreed with, he just let them be. He was non-confrontational and had a higher power to not stray. He kept his head down and worked diligently 7 days a week. He devoted his life to making Family memories and building a foundation and work ethic that is instilled in every person he influenced.

He even had time to occasionally prepare his favourite dish on a Sunday afternoon, capelli d’Angelo aglio olio with some broccoli. He would always share his wisdom and advice to the family. His favourite saying “save for a rainy day."

As much as Fred would have loved an end of life celebration, due to the current lockdown, this is not possible. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the heart and stroke foundation in his honour.

Arrangements for Tuesday's funeral and livestream of the service are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
